Hi, In June last year I went to see the doctor as for the previous 6 motnhs or so I'd been getting pain in my hands and wrists, including stiffness in my finger joints. I wa sent for blood tet for arthritis but they came back negative. The doctor then referred me to a rheumatologist. I again was sent for blood tests for arthritisis, lupus and any thyroid problems but these also came back negative. Earlier this year as the pain was slowly getting worse (morning stuffness lasting longer, pain spreading to other fingers in my hand, and from my wrist to elbow, cracking joints and general ouch!) i went back to my GP who sent me for blood tests and referred me back to the same rheumatologist. He then suggested that I had my hands and wrists scanned to see if there were any underlying problems. The only thing found here was a 1.4mm sub condrial cyst that is apparently insignificant. I was then to only come back if there was any swelling.I have had no obvious swelling, bruising or anything to show that there is a problems and all the tests that are being done are coming back as negative (which i guess is a good thing) I'm at my wits end now as the pain and stiffness continues to get worse but no one seems willing to help me treat it. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing the problems, how I may be able to treat it, or who to turn to next??? Please Help.
